BoM Yielding More Than One
So here is what we have...

We buy a package from our vendor -- It is a kit of chemicals we combine with water to produce inventory for sale. The kit yields 1,400 gallons (i.e., EPQ) for inventory but the final product is sold in gallons (usually 55 and 275).

I stared a BoM with (1) EA Kit, (1,000) GA Water, and (8) HR Labor. The result of WO+BoM in the real world is 1,400 gallons of finished product. How do I properly configure webERP to yield QTY 1,400 instead of QTY 1 when WO+BoM is executed??

My first thought was to divide each BoM line item by 1,400 but with four decimal places I do not have the accuracy I need.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated...
Never mind... I think...

I see the BoM table uses Double for QTY...

I think the 4 decimal places is just a display issue and the boms table will store any number of decimal places if you widen the text box in the input screen. I have just created a BOM with 0.000714286 of an item in it and then created a work order for 1400 of the parent and it showed a requirement for 1 of the part.

Yes... Thank you Tim.

I was confusing Decimal Places in Stockmaster with QTY in BoM.

A very silly (and lazy?) mistake on my part. I should have known webERP would come through!
